Responsibilities: Intern will do research for publications, distribution, and proposals by using the telephone, library resources, and online services. Intern will also perform general office/administrative duties as well as copy editing, proofreading, and perhaps writing.
Skills: Intern needs to possess good research skills, and good telephone abilities for talking with teacher’s organizations. Intern must also possess good writing, editing, and proofing skills.
Opportunity Profile: This position will expose the student to the educational aspect of public broadcasting. It will give him/her experience working on the development of publications in many disciplines, from the environment to the arts, humanities, and science. It will also introduce him/her to many different departments, producers, and functions at Thirteen. It will introduce the successful candidates to all aspects of publications, from concept to design to writing development.
Hours: 20 hours per week; may be shared by more than one student.
