Richard “Rick” Wright, keyboardist and founding member of the legendary British progressive rock band Pink Floyd, died yesterday of cancer at the age of 65.
Included in Wright’s discography is the composition of two songs — “Great Gig In The Sky” and “Us and Them” on one of the most influential albums of all time — 1973’s Dark Side of the Moon, which remained on Billboard’s top 200 chart for 14 years.
