Aside from the disaster that has been Wall Street the last few weeks, what are some of the other stories that have been important to the state of New Jersey? There’s the corruption indictments in Bergen county by a Federal grand jury; the Lautenberg-Zimmer Senate race; the possibility of increased tolls on the turnpike and the parkway; the likely fight for the governorship between Corzine and U.S. Attorney Chris Christie; Representative Rob Andrews’ attempt to replace his wife on the ballot; the initiative to lower the state’s drinking age; and the controversies surrounding the attempt to reform the public employees pension system. Joining us to address these issues are: Kathy Barrett Carter, editorial page writer for the Star-Ledger; Alfred Doblin, editorial page editor of The Record, and Josh Margolin, Trenton bureau reporter for the Star-Ledger. Originally aired 10/11/08.
