Obama Not the Only Candidate with Controversial Ties
May 21st, 2008 at 5:23 pm

Now that we’ve heard all about Sen. Barack Obama’s controversial pastor, here’s a gem from a preacher whose endorsement Sen. John McCain has accepted.

According to the the Huffington Post, “McCain Backer Hagee Said Hitler Was Fulfilling God’s Will,” John Hagee, the controversial evangelical leader and endorser of Sen. John McCain, preached in a late 1990s sermon:

“‘And they the hunters should hunt them,’ that will be the Jews. ‘From every mountain and from every hill and from out of the holes of the rocks.’ If that doesn’t describe what Hitler did in the holocaust you can’t see that.”

Is this just another smear campaign or a legitimate political issue?
